Jarod Campbell

Theatre & Film Actor based in Vancouver, BC

My name is Jarod Campbell. Based out of Vancouver, BC, and originally from Winnipeg, MB, I am a talented, multi faceted actor with experience both on stage and behind the camera. With over five on stage performances, a feature length film, and many short films under my belt, I am prepared and ready to launch my acting career to the next level.

My Journey

I’m going to take you back. All the way back to 2012, I was a freshman in high school who applied for the drama course because it’s an easy credit right? Wrong. First steps into drama and I was up to my neck with nerves. Who could do this without feeling like they were going to pass out or throw up, or both? Well I passed, and I got “the itch”. All I wanted to do was act.

Fast forward to 2020, I was in school to pursue Veterinary Medicine (not very actorly of me right?) when I saw a film (Whiplash), and decided to drop it all and enrol at Vancouver Film School for their Acting Intensive. It was eye opening, going from drama class in highschool to then getting in front of a camera, acting, and learning about the industry. To then graduating top of my class and transitioning into the professional world. “The itch” came back and it was here to stay.

Since then I have been in many stage performances, short films and a full length feature film. Even in the midst of my career, with much learning ahead of me, I am confident in my abilities as an actor. I dove headfirst into this industry trying to absorb as much as I possibly can, but I know that there will always be something to learn or somebody to learn from. But, one thing I do know is that I am your next leading man.

Demo Reel

Here will be my most up to date Demo Reel. I have chosen three different roles that will showcase my range in drama, comedy, and action thriller.

Recent Work

Currently I’m in the Edmonton Fringe Festival as well as the Vancouver Fringe Festival, working on a project titled UNSEX ME HERE #nothinginthevagina. It is a wonderful twist on Shakespeares’ Lady Macbeth. I am quite grateful to be able to perform for the world’s second largest Fringe Festival but I know that there is much more on the road ahead of me.

Film

As a graduate of Vancouver Film School’s Acting for Film & Television course, I have been exposed to and trained for on camera work. In 2023 I was cast in an independent feature film titled: “Free the Whales”. This feature length had me in a principal role over the course of 5 weeks, on multiple locations, shooting throughout the night and into morning. The fast paced environment challenged me but I was able to use my training to keep my focus and contribute during my time on set.

Theatre

After graduating from Vancouver Film School I was at a point where I had to keep creating. Keep the momentum. Instead of waiting around for Film & Television to come knocking I decided to turn my eyes to local theatre. From dramas to comedies, I’ve done it all. Live performances have been pivotal allowing me to create, grow and experiment as an artist, directly translating to stronger on screen performances. Here is a quick list of some of my recent works in the Vancouver theatre scene.
